Mission Priority: Dave C - Home Remodel
Dave C. is a retired Staff Sergeant who resides in the Ft. Hood/Killeen area of Texas with his faithful companion Otto, an eight year old black lab rescue.
​
As many veterans do, Dave deals with service connected disabilities and has been working with the VA to get the care he needs and deserves. Earlier this year while attempting to repair his home, Dave fell and severely injured his hip. Because of this injury, Dave was forced to spend over a month in recovery and unable to return home. During his absence, his home flooded due to a plumbing leak and roof damage; thus becoming infested with rodents, insects, and mold.

The family reached out to Surplus Americans to ask for support for a fellow veteran and we answered the call! We are also very proud to officially announce their partnership with Fort Hood Area Habitat for Humanities on this project as well!
​
We have officially finished the first two phases of their mission and are ready for the final push. But, Surplus Americans can't do it without your donations!

Lets help Surplus Americans get Dave on his feet, out of his garage, and back in his home!
A note from Surplus Americans
Fort Hood Area Habitat for Humanities (FHAHFH) is an integral part of this mission. Through their support and guidance, the team was able to source all the major repairs and contractors for Dave's House.
We have them to thank for the new roof and HVAC system along with several other large projects!

Apart from these substantial contributions, many of the materials we will be using on the house are also coming from the FHAHFH Restore in Killeen.
​
We look forward to working side by side with their volunteers to bring this mission to a successful close!
